Daniella Kadian-Dodov, MD is an Associate Professor of Medicine at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, in the sections of Vascular Medicine, and the Vascular Diagnostic Laboratory in the Zena and Michael A. Wiener Cardiovascular Institute and the Marie-Josée and Henry R. Kravis Center for Cardiovascular Health of The Mount Sinai Medical Center.
A graduate of New York University and the Oregon Health & Science University in Portland, Oregon, Dr. Kadian-Dodov completed Internal Medicine residency at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. She began her training in vascular medicine during a time of renewed interest in fibromuscular dysplasia (FMD) as data from the US Registry for FMD was becoming available. She helped to identify a very high rate of aneurysm and dissection in FMD patients from the registry. Now, the overlap between spontaneous coronary artery dissection (SCAD) and/or cervical artery dissection (carotid, vertebral) with FMD are robust areas of international research. She is currently involved in several research trials focused on improving knowledge in the pathophysiology, genetics, and management of FMD, cervical artery dissection, and coronary artery dissection. She is an active educator for the internal medicine house staff and cardiology fellows, and is the program director for the Vascular Medicine fellowship at Mount Sinai. She was awarded the Simon Dack Award in 2023 for outstanding teaching and contributions to the cardiovascular fellowship at Mount Sinai. Dr. Kadian-Dodov is the immediate past Images Section Editor for the Vascular Medicine Journal. She is Secretary and a Board of Trustee for the Society for Vascular Medicine, and a Board Member of the CLI Global Society.
